Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy

Our shared educational vision is to look for and work towards developing the best quality of education possible in our school. We recognize the unique role of both parent and teacher. We agree that effective communication includes a spirit of trust, confidentiality, mutual co-operation and commitment. Children will benefit from the knowledge that their parents and teachers are on the same side with regard to their education. This stability will be felt as a security in the journey through education for life.

In the spirit of St Dominic, our school is a community built on and centered in Christ. In an atmosphere informed by the Gospel’s call to freedom and love, we encourage our pupils to develop themselves towards wholeness of life. The partners in the school community are the children, parents, teachers, Special Needs Assistants, Board of Management, Principals, Chaplains, Home/School/Community Liaison, Department of Education and Science, Ancillary staff, community agencies and cultural groups.
